EFPSA sprung from the desire of psychology student's associations to develop solidarity on the European level among students concerned with the quality of their training and the different social and ethical problems that can affect them. EFPSA is politically independent, but is willing to support student movements defending psychology student's interests. The objects of EFPSA are: *to promote exchange of social and ethical ideas among European psychology students in connection to their profession; *to improve the educational conditions for psychology students in Europe in order to enable them to become professionals; *to promote exchange of psychology students from different European countries. The spirit of EFPSA is fundamentally democratic. It's structure (a communication network) is very flexible. EFPSA has two official languages: English and French. The Federation took shape at ten meetings held respectively in Lisbon (Portugal, 1987), Liege (Belgium, 1988), Lund (Sweden, 1989), Lyon (France, 1990), Geneva (Switzerland, 1991), Bergen (Norway, 1992), Amsterdam (The Netherlands, 1993), Lancaster (Great Britain, 1994), Pula (Croatia, 1995), Jyväskylä (Finland, 1996).

The European Psychologist covers research and practice development from the region where 48% of the world’s psychologists work, Europe.
International cooperation and exchange are playing an ever-increasing role in Psychology, both in research and in practice.
Multinational research projects, international multicenter studies, and test development are growing in number and impact, as are multinational programs of graduate and continuing education in Psychology.
The European Psychologist, the English-language voice of Psychology in Europe, therefore integrates all specializations in Psychology and provides a general platform for communication and cooperation among Psychologists throughout Europe and worldwide.

EURODOC was founded by the PhD student associations and unions of the European states. EURODOC's targets :
- To give an official framework for the collaboration of Europe's doctoral/postdoctoral students' unions
- To represent European doctoral students and young researchers at a European level in regard to all political and administrative institutions
- To be a discussion platform for doctoral students and young researchers, senior scientists and science policymakers (discussing the current and future problems of science policy and those of young scientists in particular)
- To make proposals to achieve improvement in the status of PhD students and young researchers.

Most of the individual partners in the SoReCOm Thematic Network are member of the EAES. Starting in 1999, the EAES has added an Early Career Development Scheme to its initiatives that is designed to support postgraduate and young scientists who are members of the association in one of three ways through: (a) postgraduate travel bursaries, (b) postdoctoral 'seedcorn' research grants, and (c) regional support grants.
The Association has 788 members (525 Full members, 108 Affiliate members, and 155 Postgraduate members) from 34 countries [December 1999]. Since 1963 the membership has been increasing constantly: 1968 51 members, 1975 181 members, 1984 275 members, 1992 556 members, 1999 788 members.

The Marie Curie Fellowship Association is the Association of scientists who have once been awarded a Marie Curie fellowship or other European Community research training grant selected through a selection procedure. A Marie Curie fellowship is a grant within a harmonized scheme under one of the European RTD framework programmes to stimulate the training and mobility of researchers in the European Community.
The Association is organized along hierarchical lines with international, national, and regional/local groups, and along horizontal structures like committees and working groups. The Association was launched at an inaugural seminar in Brussels in October 1996, organized under the auspices of the European Commission. During its first three years the Association received a generous grant from the European Commission, and received further support from the XII General Directorate with advice and logistical help, and the links with the European Commission have remained solid ever since.
All the activities of the MCFA are coordinated at an international level, and are managed by an Administrative Board that is elected on a yearly basis by the members of the Association at the Annual General Meeting. The National Groups are one of the pillars of the MCFA, and each have their own co-ordinator for the various national activities, which include meetings, advice on contractual problems, meetings with national government officials, marketing articles and similar activities. The National coordinators form the local groups committee. Among the MCFA aims, the foremost one is to develop steady contacts with other European scientific and science policy organizations, with which it tries to transmit the opinions and ideas of high-level mobile researcher and the obstacles they
encountered to their mobility during their stay in different European countries.
Mobility is at the forefront of any European doctoral programme, and is a fundamental issue that will be dealt with for Output 1. The MCFA has long standing ties with many European Academic Institutions, and a vast experience in analysing and reporting on strengths and weaknesses in doctoral mobility.
The main reason for its involvement in the project is thus due to the fact that there is currently no European Institution that is exclusively specialised in researcher mobility at a Pan-European level involved on the contract. In addition, the Association holds strong ties with Eurodoc, a partner already included in the contract, with which it provides a comlementary overview of mobility initiatives in Europe and best practices/areas of improvement of doctoral programme management.

The Association was created in 2002. It is at the origin of the reference French-speaking internet site called psychologiesociale.org (http://www.psychologie-sociale.org) which includes various definitions of social psychology; daily updated news; an analytical and critical bibliography of French language literature published in the field, as well as an index of French language handbooks with their tables of content; an analytical index of scientific journals, including an access to the references, synopses and sometimes summaries of the articles; an access to interviews with personalities; a thematic index of web links; a directory of the academic community; the map of the French-speaking laboratories; a discussion forum. In 2004, the AFPS conceived an Internet site of popularization on the stereotypes and the prejudices (http://www.prejuges-stereotypes.net). This project was financed (financially constant) by the French Ministry of Research and New Technologies. In addition, the AFPS currently works with the setting on line in June 2007 in free access of an electronic review of social psychology.

The Italian Association of Psychology has the following main objectives:
- To promote psychological research activity in a national and an international context, and to favour forms of coordination among researchers in psychology from Universities or other Research Entities;
- To discuss the main issues and problems regarding the teaching of Psychology, its definition and its extension as a discipline, and its institutional positioning;
- To favour contacts between psychological research and the social and productive context, also in cooperation with similar organizations and associations;
- To promote the dissemination of knowledge and the scientific updating via the organization of meetings, congresses, seminars;
- To cooperate, in all necessary ways and forms, with European and extra-European entities that promote, guide and/or finance scientific research.

According to Law n.56 of 18 February 1989, to exercise the profession of Psychologist it is necessary to pass the State Board Examination and be registered by the appropriate certification board.
The State Board Examination is controlled by a decree emanating from the President of the Republic.
To be admitted to the examination, graduates in Psychology must be in possession of adequate documentation proving the completion of a practical internship in accordance with modalities established by a decree of the Ministry of Education.
Those individuals registered compose the Psychology Certification Board which is organized at the regional level with the exception of the provinces of Trento and Bolzano where they are organized at the provincial level.
To be registered with the board an individual must:
- be an Italian citizen, a citizen of an EU member state or citizen of a state that has a reciprocity agreement;
- have no prior criminal convictions for actions that would incur professional interdiction;
- be in possession of a permit to exercise the profession;
- be resident in Italy or, for Italian citizens resident abroad, to demonstrate residence abroad is because of employment as a Psychologist with an Italian organizations or enterprise located outside of national territory.

Encouraging the expanding logic of the "Network of Networks" that inspires our So.Re.Com. THEmatic NETwork of excellence, we are glad to announce that the National Network of Researchers on Social Representations (RENIRS) and the Mexican Center for the Study of Social Representations (CEMERS) has been recently founded (2010), by the scholars from different Universities: Dr. Alfredo Guerrero Tapia, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México; Dr. Silvia Valencia Abundiz, Universidad de Guadalajara; Dr. Martha Alba González, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Iztapalapa; Dr. Silvia Gutiérrez Vidrio, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco; MSc. Eulogio Romero Rodríguez, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla; MSc. Francisco Javier Patiño Uribe, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana- Iztapalapa, and Dr. María Estela Ortega Rubí, general coordinator, de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, host of the RENIRS and CEMERS.
The project of the National Research Network on Social Representations (RENIRS) and the Mexican Center for the Study of Social Representations (CEMERS), was created with the academic and scientific support of Serge Moscovici, founder of the Social Representation Theory, internationally recognized for his theoretical contribution to Social Sciences and the foundation of a European Social Psychology, and with the enthusiasm and motivation of Denise Jodelet, always very engaged and stimulating in the Mexican academic community's activities. This project counts with the support of the Social Research Institute - iinSo, Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León, and is registered in the frame of the activities of the Academic Group "Sociocultural Processes and Sustainability".
The RENIRS and the CEMERS are intended to bring together the Mexican researchers interested in the process of generation, application and transmission of knowledge, with the intention of strengthening each other in their research and communication skills. Its primary mission is to promote the collective work across a national network of Mexican researchers interested in the study of social representations as an analytical tool to exam in depth the social problems that the Mexican society faces nowadays, and also in the organization of diverse academic and research activities.
ITS MAIN OBJECTIVES ARE:
- To build an inter-institutional and international space which encourages the development of quality scientific research.
- To organize and promote academic activities among Higher Educational Institutions.
- To generate exchanges among researchers from different disciplines of the Social Sciences belonging to research groups, academic and research bodies -Promep, assigned to centers, laboratories, departments, faculties of national and international universities, interested in the study of social representations and social thought.
- To support the research activities through the development and diffusion of information and documentary resources.
- To build a site for the articulation of scholars dedicated to the study of social representations, which will be operating through a website (under construction).
